I’ve been at Southern Cross Care for eight months. I started as a Locum (Temp) then applied for my current role.
I’ve been supported all the way, with opportunities to do more than I thought I would.
Eventually, I’d love to move into management.
At SCC, we get to build relationships with residents – much more so than with private or hospital employers.
The residents I work with also learn about my life and family, which is a great part of the job.
There’s enormous diversity in the work I do, from day therapy and residential care to transitional care.
I enjoy cooking, travelling, music, reading and movies.
Other organisations don’t spend money on training and development like SCC.
I don’t think they’d invest this time and money in me if they didn’t want to see me grow.
