Forming part of the overall new Pearl development at Fannie Bay, Pearl Supported Care is a brand new aged care development built by Southern Cross Care (SA & NT).
Rated five-star for practicality and luxury, it meets all the design requirements to make it a great place to live, work and enjoy. This modern and state-of-the-art aged care facility will initially offer 65 beds for high and low care over two levels, including a memory support unit.
Pearl has spacious individual rooms with en-suite facilities and the latest in nurse call bell technology, with each room wired for telephone and television.

Residents on the first level will have balconies overlooking the lush, tropical courtyards and gardens of Pearl. Residents on the ground floor will have direct outlook to these beautiful gardens. At Pearl Supported Care there is a modern on-site kitchen with a dedicated chef to ensure a flexible menu caters for all dietary requirements. Residents will enjoy dining at the private dining room which opens onto a secure and tranquil courtyard that is ideal for private family gatherings including a safe environment for any children visiting.
An on-site café will also be open, should anyone want to enjoy a cup of tea or a cappuccino. Residents will also have access to an on-site modern hairdressing salon with the latest equipment.

There is a spacious activity room which has the capacity to hold large functions and small lifestyle programs. Reassuringly, this area has also been purpose built to become a self-contained cyclone shelter, capable of housing all residents and staff, should the need arise. Multi denominational Pastoral Care services and a quiet Chapel are available to all residents. While Pearl may be Southern Cross Care’s first venture in the Top End, it has carefully selected partners with the local experience to add to its own track record in the field, creating a unique property that offers aging Territorians the chance to remain in Darwin with family and friends.
